HOW DO I INHERIT DIVISION INFORMATION?

Inherit an Existing Division

To inherit existing division options for a new division within the system, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Create New Division

To create a new division, there are two paths:

  1. On the Administrator dashboard on the Divisions panel, click on "Create New Division" button to initiate the creation process.

  2. From your Administrator dashboard, locate the Divisions menu at the top of the page and click on it. In the dropdown list, select Add New Division.

Step 2: Enable “Inherit Existing Division?”

Admin Tip: Before proceeding, ensure there is at least one existing division that has the desired settings.

  • On the Create a New Division page, you'll notice a dropdown labeled "Inherit Existing Division?" This feature is only available when creating subsequent divisions.

  • Select the dropdown then click on "Yes" to indicate that you want to inherit settings from an existing division.

Step 3: Select the Source Division

  • After choosing to inherit, additional options will appear including a dropdown called Division To Inherit. Choose the division from which you want to inherit information by clicking on the dropdown and selecting the division name.

Step 4: Check Inheritance Options:

  • The available inheritance options include Division Flyers, Employee/User Uploads, Form Defaults, HR Staff, Prepopulated Responses, and Tax Credit Information. Check the box on one or more of these options.

Step 5: Save Division Information

  • Once you've confirmed the inherited information, click the "Save Division Information" button.

  • A green header at the top of the page confirms that your new division has been successfully created. Click the “Go There Now” to navigate to the new division’s dashboard.

Step 6: Explore the Inherited Information

  • Access your newly created division. You'll notice that the forms and information are automatically selected and prepopulated.

  • Thanks to the division inheritance feature, you've saved time and effort in setting up the new division's information.
